This is Hinata's kimono as seen in the 4th Naruto opening, as well as the series of Heroine Gashapon Naruto figurines that came out. It is a cute design, and I love Hinata! So this was an obvious costume choice to do!

The first costume I actually made (ie, sewn and not pieced together and modified) AND was pleased with. Yay. ^_^ Though I had a lot of help from my friend Ami Yuy.

It is about 80% done! I need to paint the red flames onto the kimono, and make the orange under part. (Gah, I forgot it's name...).

The fun thing is we asked our Japanese teacher if she could show us how to formally put kimonos on. She also let us borrow her yukata and obi so we can see how it is made, and it helped a lot! (Plus she was excited we were making them--she thought it was cool. ^_^).
I hope to have this totally completed very soon!

Note: Ami Yuy and I modified these versions. Well, they are supposed to have much much longer sleeves, (furisode kimono, I think?) and ours have sleeves that aren't so long. XD;; So techically these are yukata-style. Hnn, I hope to actually make the long sleeves later since it is more correct. ^^;;
