What got you into cosplay?
My friend used to go to conventions in California and I thought they looked fun so I wanted to go to one. When I learned that people did J-music cosplays I wanted to go even more. Well over a year later and 3 failed attempts to make it to conventions I finally got to Cos-Con 2 and I absolutely fell in love with conventions and cosplay.
What was your first costume and why?
Yurina Kumai from Berryz Kobo's song 'Special Generation". It was cute and very easy(I bought the skirt, hat and jewerly and my mom added 3 ruffles to a shirt).
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I don't have a dream costume. If I want to do a costume badly enough I will do it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Of course! I LOVE making J-Pop costumes and doing the dances on stage. I haven't done any anime skits yet, but I hope to in the future!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yep! I won 2nd place in the skit Division at Cos-Con 2(My first cosplay!) for my dance to Berryz Kobo's "Special Generation. I won the Best Choreography in Novice Division at Anime Los Angeles 2 for my dance to Viyuden's "Kaccho Ii Ze JAPAN"(and the award was presented to me by USA Musume's producer Wayne Kaa). I also won Second Place at a local Cosplay Ball/Masquerade Dance for my dance to Morning Musume's "Sexy Boy ~Soyokaze ni Yorisotte~" song.
My favorite anime
Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Shin-Chan and Please Teacher/Onegai Sensei. My friends are desperatly trying to get me into more anime series.
My favorite game(s)
Like video games? I only had a really old Atari system growing up(I ruled at PitFall) and I just recently got a PS2 and both of the Fullmetal Alchemist games for it. But I have absolutely no video game skills whatsoever.
My favorite book(s)
The Fullmetal Alchemist manga and regular novels(especially the third one, "The Valley of the Whire Petals"). Also "Annie's Baby" and "Diary of an Anorexic Girl". I also enjoy reading books about Sweden and Japan. And books about alchemy.
I have quite a few Hello!Project/Morning Musume photobooks and I have many more I want to get in the future.
